About Staff

Dr. Vigen Vick Abovian, MD, specializes in primary care and geriatric medicine. He earned his medical degree from the Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara and completed his family medicine residency at Texas A&M University CCTX County Hospital. In 2010, Dr. Abovian founded VIDA Family Practice PC, joined the medical staff at Glendale Adventist Hospital, and has been providing comprehensive care to patients with diverse needs, including chronic conditions, urgent issues, and routine care. In 2021, he implemented an integrated and structured care delivery model with team-based care, guided by experience he gained in comprehensive medical centers, to expand access to services and address existing gaps in patient care. Dr. Abovian is a member of the AAFP and is fluent in English, Armenian, Russian, and Spanish, serving patients from diverse backgrounds. He is married, enjoys traveling, mindfulness, and spending time with his two children.
